1.1 Ready-to-Ship Jewellery

For clients who prefer a hybrid payment structure, we offer a Partial Cash on Delivery (COD) facility for immediate-dispatch items under the following terms:

  • Payment Split: A 60% advance of the total order value is payable online at the time of order placement. The remaining 40% balance is collectible upon delivery.
  • COD Maximum Limit: The cash component collected at delivery is strictly capped at ₹99,999. Any order balance exceeding this threshold must be fully settled via an online payment method prior to dispatch.
  • Serviceability Verification: COD services are restricted to select pin codes within India. We highly recommend verifying your pin code's eligibility with our Client Care Team before finalizing your order.

1.2 Bespoke & Made-to-Order Jewellery

Custom and made-to-order creations require a structured payment schedule to secure raw materials and initiate the design and production phases:

  • Booking Advance (50%): A 50% upfront payment of the estimated order value is required to secure the prevailing gold rate, initiate the CAD design process, and authorize production.
  • Final Invoice Adjustment: The final invoice will be calculated based on the actual post-production gold weight and diamond carat weight. Any variance from the initial estimate will be transparently detailed and adjusted on the final bill.
  • Balance Settlement: The remaining 50% balance must be cleared in full prior to dispatch. Clients may opt to utilize the Partial COD structure for this final balance, subject to the standard ₹99,999 cash limit and regional pin code serviceability.

II. Shipping & Delivery Policy

2.1 Order Processing & Dispatch

  • Ready-to-Ship Pieces: Processed and dispatched within 3 working days of order confirmation.
  • Made-to-Order Pieces: Freshly crafted items require up to 12 working days to dispatch.
  • Personalized & Bespoke Creations: Require 12 to 20 working days, depending on design complexity and material procurement. Final lead times will be confirmed at the time of order placement.
  • Consolidated Orders: Orders containing both standard and custom items may be shipped separately. Non-custom items will arrive earlier, and each shipment will be assigned its own unique tracking details.

2.4 Secure Delivery Requirements

2.5 Delivery Failures & Address Modifications

  • Undelivered Shipments: If a delivery is refused or cannot be completed due to customer unavailability, the parcel will return to our facility. A fresh delivery request must be initiated, and standard redelivery charges will apply.
  • Address Corrections: Address changes can only be accommodated before dispatch, subject to logistical feasibility. Once an order has left our facility, modifications are strictly impossible.
  • Depot Holding: In cases of brief unavailability, the courier partner may hold the package at their nearest secure depot for self-collection or arrange a final reattempt.

2.6 Damaged, Missing, or Tampered Parcels

In the rare event that your package arrives damaged, incomplete, or empty, you must report the issue to us within 24–48 hours of delivery.

2.8 Cancellation Prior to Dispatch

  • Ready-to-Ship Orders: May be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch without penalty.
  • Refund Processing: Approved refunds for early cancellations will be credited back to the original payment method within 15 business days, less any applicable payment gateway charges.
  • Post-Dispatch: Once dispatched, orders cannot be cancelled. You may either refuse delivery at the doorstep or initiate a formal return upon receipt, in accordance with our Return Policy.

2.9 Non-Serviceable Reverse Pickup Locations

If your location does not support reverse logistics, our team will coordinate with you during a return or exchange request. In such instances, you will be required to ship the item directly to our designated office or warehouse. This reverse shipping cost will be borne by the customer or deducted from the final refund or credit value.

Important Notice for International Orders: All international shipments are strictly final sale, non-returnable, and non-refundable. III. Cancellation Policy

  • After 24 Hours (Pre-Production): Requests received after 24 hours but before production commences may incur a cancellation fee ranging from 5% to 15% of the order value.   • During Production: Once physical crafting and production have commenced, cancellations, modifications, or refunds cannot be accepted.

IV. Return & Refund Policy

4.1 Refund Valuation & Deductions

  • Logistics & Handling Fee: A reverse logistics fee of ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 (aligned with your regional location tier specified in Section 2.2) will be deducted per returned item.
  • Transaction Costs: Payment gateway charges and outward shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the final payout.
  • Promotional Adjustments: If a promotional discount, coupon, or offer was applied to the initial purchase (including discounts on MRP, gold rate, diamond value, or making charges), the monetary value of that discount will be factored out and deducted from the refund.
  • Missing or Damaged Certification Fee: All diamond and gemstone certificates must be returned immaculate. If an original laboratory certificate is missing, altered, or damaged, a mandatory re-certification fee of ₹450 per carat weight of the diamond will be deducted.

Processing Timeline: Once a return is received at our facility and passes quality inspection, refunds are formally approved within 7 working days. The funds will be credited to your account via online bank transfer within 10 business days of receipt.

4.2 Policy on Custom & Bespoke Jewelry Returns

Bespoke creations are uniquely engineered and crafted around your distinct vision. This process involves dedicated design development, individual 3D resin molds, and specialized artisan labor.

If an exception is made to return a custom-made piece within the 7-day window, a restructuring fee will apply. The refund will be processed after deducting whichever is higher of the following two options:

  1. 15% of the total invoice value.
  2. The cumulative cost of: Actual Making Charges + a Flat Designing Charge (₹1,500) + Payment Gateway Fees + Reverse Shipping Costs.

4.3 Return Eligibility Conditions

  • Security Tag Integrity: The product must be returned in its pristine, original, and unworn condition. The product security tag must remain unbroken, untorn, and fully attached to the piece. If the security tag has been removed or tampered with, the item is strictly ineligible for a return.
  • Alterations & Third-Party Repairs: Any jewelry that has been resized, engraved, or repaired by any jeweler other than Tinch Jewels cannot be accepted for return, and all post-sale brand benefits will be voided.
  • Personalization Exclusions: Items that feature highly permanent structural modifications, specific personal engravings, or custom scripts fall outside the standard guarantee and are non-returnable.
  • Quality Inspection Clause: Every return undergoes a rigorous evaluation by our Quality Assurance Team. Any signs of wear, surface scratches, or structural modifications will disqualify the piece from a full refund. In such instances, the item will be reclassified under our Lifetime Buyback Policy, and the corresponding buyback deductions will apply. The findings of our Quality Assurance Team are final.

4.4 Mandatory Documentation for Returns

V. 7-Day Exchange Policy

5.1 Eligibility Window

Exchange requests must be formally initiated within 7 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date. Requests received after this period will automatically be processed under our Lifetime Exchange (LTE) Policy.

5.2 Exchange Valuation & Store Credit

  • In-Stock Jewellery: Eligible for 100% store credit, less the reverse shipping fee (calculated based on your regional location tier, as outlined in Section 2.2). The issued store credit is valid for 365 days from the date of issuance.
  • Custom & Bespoke Jewellery: Eligible for exchange subject to the deduction of the original making charges (as specified in the product's itemized price breakdown sheet) and reverse shipping costs from the total invoice value.
  • Missing or Damaged Certifications: If the original laboratory grading certificate is missing or damaged, a mandatory re-certification charge of ₹450 per carat of diamond weight will be deducted from the final exchange value.

5.3 Engraving Remediation Charges

  • Laser Engraving Removal: A flat fee of ₹500 per piece will be charged to buff, polish, and restore the metal surface.
  • CAD-Embedded Engravings: If the personalization was integrated directly into the initial 3D design mold, a deduction of 2% to 5% of the total invoice value will apply to account for the structural resetting and metal loss during remodeling.

5.4 Exchange Limitations & Frequency

  • First Exchange: Processed seamlessly under this premium 7-Day Exchange Policy.
  • Subsequent Exchanges: Any secondary exchange request arising from the same original order sequence will automatically be processed under our Lifetime Exchange (LTE) Policy, applying standard lifetime valuation metrics.

5.5 General Terms of Compliance

  • Pristine Condition: The jewellery must be completely unworn, unaltered, and free of any surface imperfections, enclosed in its original brand packaging.

  • Third-Party Alterations: Any piece that has been resized, engraved, or modified by an unauthorized third-party jeweler is strictly ineligible for exchange under this policy, and all post-sale brand coverages will be permanently voided.

VI. Lifetime Exchange Policy (LTE)

Tinch Jewels offers a Lifetime Exchange Policy (LTE), allowing clients to upgrade, trade in, or repurpose their jewelry at any point in the future. This policy fully covers both standard and custom-made creations with an initial invoice value up to ₹3,00,000.

6.1 Exchange Valuation & Deductions

  • Precious Metal Component: 100% of the prevailing market value of the metal (gold, platinum, etc.) at the exact time of the exchange evaluation.
  • Lab-Grown Diamond Component: 100% of the original invoice value of the lab-grown diamonds, as specified on the initial price breakdown sheet.
  • Standard Policy Deductions: The final exchange credit will be issued after deducting making charges, GST/taxes paid, POS transaction fees, original packaging costs, laboratory certification fees, administrative costs, and the value of any promotional discounts or coupons applied during the initial purchase.
  • Logistics Fees: Applicable reverse shipping and insured transit costs (calculated by regional location tiers 1–6) will be deducted per item.

6.2 Eligibility Criteria

  • Activation Timeline: This policy becomes active immediately upon the expiration of the standard 7-Day Exchange window.
  • Regional Availability: Available exclusively for products purchased and exchanged within India.
  • Purchase Alignment: The generated LTE credit must be applied toward the purchase of a new item of equal or greater value.

⚠️ Missing Certification Fee: If the original laboratory grading certificate is missing, altered, or damaged, a mandatory re-certification fee of ₹450 per carat of diamond weight will be deducted from the final exchange value.

6.4 Additional Terms & Conditions

  • Structural Integrity: The jewelry must be in its original, structurally undamaged condition. Any precious stones or diamonds found to be chipped, cracked, or severely damaged during inspection will be assigned a zero valuation.
  • Third-Party Alterations: Items that have been repaired, resized, engraved, or serviced by an unauthorized third-party jeweler are strictly ineligible for the Lifetime Exchange program.
  • Valuation Cap: The maximum exchange valuation credit permitted under this policy is capped at ₹5,00,000 per transaction.
  • Policy Exclusions: The standard 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee and 7-Day Exchange Policy do not apply to any new items purchased or acquired using LTE credits.

VII. Lifetime Buyback Policy (LTB)

Tinch Jewels provides long-term asset liquidity and assurance through our comprehensive Lifetime Buyback (LTB) Program. This policy allows clients to liquidate their jewelry for a direct monetary payout or brand gift card. The program applies exclusively to purchases with a maximum initial invoice value of ₹3,00,000.

7.1 Buyback Valuation & Deductions

  • Precious Metal Component: 100% of the prevailing market value of the metal (gold, platinum, etc.) at the exact time of the buyback evaluation.
  • Lab-Grown Diamond Component: 80% of the original invoice value of the lab-grown diamonds, as specified on the initial price breakdown sheet.
  • Standard Policy Deductions: The final buyback payout will be issued after deducting making charges, GST/taxes paid, POS transaction fees, original packaging costs, laboratory certification fees, administrative costs, and the value of any promotional discounts or coupons applied during the initial purchase.
  • Logistics Fees: Applicable reverse shipping and insured transit costs will be deducted per item.

7.2 Eligibility & Compliance Conditions

  • Lock-in Period: A buyback request can only be initiated after a minimum of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
  • Third-Party Alterations: Any item that has been repaired, resized, engraved, or serviced by an unauthorized third-party jeweler is strictly ineligible for the buyback program.

VIII. Old Gold Exchange Policy

  • Purchase Offset: Old gold trade-ins are accepted exclusively as credit toward the purchase of new jewelry from Tinch Jewels.
  • Liquidation Restriction: Direct cash liquidations are not permitted for old gold exchanges, except under the specific surplus conditions outlined below.

8.2 Management of Surplus Value

  • Option A: Store Credit Allocation (100% Value): The entire surplus amount is converted into a Tinch Jewels store credit at 100% of its assessed valuation. This credit is linked directly to the client's profile and can be applied toward any future purchase.
  • Option B: Cash Payout (Subject to 3% Processing Fee): Should the client request a direct cash refund for the surplus balance, a 3% administrative deduction will be applied to the surplus amount prior to processing the bank transfer remittance.

IX. Warranty & After-Sales Service

This policy governs all after-sales services, warranty coverages, and lifetime maintenance benefits provided by Tinch Jewels. These terms apply exclusively to authentic jewelry purchased directly through the official Tinch Jewels website and are valid strictly within India.

9.1 6-Month Limited Manufacturing Warranty

Tinch Jewels stands behind the structural integrity of every creation with a 6-month repair warranty against manufacturing defects, valid from the date of delivery.

  • Scope of Coverage: This warranty exclusively covers defects in workmanship, material flaws, or loose gemstones/diamonds falling from their original settings due to production errors. Qualifying claims will be repaired entirely free of charge following a case-by-case technical assessment.
  • Warranty Exclusions: The warranty strictly excludes coverage for:
    • Normal wear and tear (surface scratches, minor metal dulling, or tarnish).
    • The loss, theft, or complete disappearance of diamonds, gemstones, or the entire piece.
    • Accidental damage, structural breakage, or deformation caused by impact, mishandling, chemical exposure, or external force.

Third-Party Service Warning: Any product that has been resized, engraved, altered, or repaired by an external or unauthorized third-party jeweler will automatically void all warranty protections and after-sales benefits.

9.2 Complimentary Lifetime Maintenance Program

To preserve the timeless brilliance of your jewelry, Tinch Jewels provides one (1) complimentary professional maintenance and cleaning service per year, valid for the lifetime of the product.

The Annual Maintenance Service Includes:

  • Ultrasonic deep cleaning and professional surface polishing.
  • Structural integrity checks, including prong tightening and secure setting evaluations for all diamonds and gemstones.

Please Note: Advanced restorative services—such as full stone resetting, laser soldering, structural rebuilding, or resizing—are outside the scope of complimentary maintenance. These will be billed at prevailing labor and material rates. Any secondary maintenance requests within the same calendar year will incur standard servicing charges.

9.3 Logistics, Shipping, & Risk

  • Cost Responsibility: Forward and reverse logistics costs for all warranty and maintenance requests are entirely the responsibility of the customer.
  • Insured Shipping Tariffs: Fully insured round-trip transit charges will apply, varying by your specific regional location tier (Tiers 1–6).
