Length changes the whole look of a pendant. A 16 inch chain sits close to the collarbone for a choker-style effect. The 18 inch length is the most popular and rests just below the collarbone, which works with almost every outfit. Longer chains of 20 to 24 inches drop lower, which makes them ideal for layering or for wearing over high necklines.
