8. Jewellery Resizing Policy

We want your jewellery to be cherished for years to come, which is why a perfect fit is essential. Our resizing policy is designed to ensure your pieces fit flawlessly while maintaining their structural integrity.

8.1 General Resizing Terms

  • Complimentary Resizing Window: One complimentary resize is available within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to design feasibility.
  • Shipping Costs: The client is responsible for the cost of insured pickup and return delivery for all resizing requests.
  • Metal Weight Adjustments: Any difference in metal weight exceeding ₹500 after resizing will be either charged to the client or refunded accordingly.

8.2 Paid Resizing Conditions

Resizing charges will apply under the following circumstances:

  • Once the initial 7-day complimentary resizing period has expired.
  • For all custom-made, bespoke, engraved, or personalized jewellery.
  • Where a complimentary resize has already been utilized for the product.

8.3 Resizing Charges

Rings (More Than Two Full Sizes)

Example: Resizing from size 10 to size 7.5 or lower, or size 12.5 or higher.

Charges will include:

  • Making charges as per prevailing market rates.
  • Metal weight adjustment (if applicable).
  • Both-way insured shipping charges.

Bangles

Charges will include:

  • Making charges as per prevailing market rates.
  • Metal weight adjustment (if applicable).
  • Both-way insured shipping charges.

8.4 Design & Technical Limitations

  • Design Restrictions: Certain eternity bands, complex pavé designs, tension settings, patterned bangles, or structurally engineered designs may not be suitable for resizing. In such cases, full making charges may apply to recreate the product in the required size.
  • Certification Costs: If third-party certification (IGI, SGL, GIA, or equivalent) was obtained at the time of purchase and recertification is requested after resizing, the applicable certification fee will be charged separately.
  • Third-Party Alterations: Jewellery resized, repaired, engraved, or altered by an unauthorized third-party jeweller will become ineligible for resizing, warranty claims, Lifetime Exchange (LTE), and Lifetime Buyback (LTB) benefits.
  • Policy Continuity: Jewellery resized by Tinch Jewels remains eligible for applicable Lifetime Exchange and Lifetime Buyback programs, subject to all prevailing policy terms.

8.5 How to Request Resizing

  1. Contact our Client Care Team through phone, WhatsApp, or email.
  2. Our team will verify eligibility and design feasibility.
  3. An insured pickup will be arranged through our logistics partners.
  4. After inspection and confirmation, the resizing process will begin.
  5. The resized jewellery will be securely delivered back to your registered address.
