Why this one

Three-stone rings traditionally read as past, present and future. Most use three stones of matching shape and near-matching size. This one deliberately does not: the oval centre is roughly three times the weight of the accents, so the eye goes to the middle rather than scanning across. You get the symbolism of three stones with the visual clarity of a solitaire.
